2. Member Care System (MCS) too!
Thanks for this helpful article.
I think Member Care System should be added to the list, it is very helpful component for site administrators to keep members active as much as possible, and to help members to retrieve their activation links in case they lost them by any way.

7. thanks for the great site
hey-I learned to make web pages on Dreamweaver-about 6months ago...Joomla is great! Tons of free stuff and the helps are amazing. I'm still trying to figure it out, and I still get a bit frustrated when I want to just move something around and I cant seem to figure out how...but over all- open source rules!

8. any good tutorials or hints for a nooob
Hi. I have absolutely 0 programming knowledge, but am attempting to create a website now using joomla 1.5.1 (on fantastico). I'm reading alot, and trying to do as much as possible right the first time. After many articles, I've decided to install joomaps and SEFpatch. My utter lack of experience however is proving to be a bigger hurdle than expected. Does anyone know of a step by step tutorial available? I've downloaded both, but am unsure which sections of the downloaded file (it seems to have many parts) should be uploaded on the cpanel frontend to move forward. Many thanks in advance.

10. Another one
This are realy very good modules and commponents, but I think you should ad to this collection module "articlethumbnails". this module is free of course.

The module can do everything you want, has own css and collect post from any category or section, or combine them.
